This is a really interesting question. Syncing and backing up credentials need to be taken care of. I encountered a situation where I had a wallet from a mnemonic, issued some credentials, and added a backup email. Later, I created a second account with a new mnemonic but used the same email for backup. When I restored my previous wallet with the first mnemonic, my credentials were lost.
