how to force phpcbf to ignore the errors in the baseline file ?

so i tweaked the reporter a bit to only save the unfixable errors, so phpcbf can fix everything else without bailing out.

however phpcbf still see the errors and stop fixing anything, so is there a way to tell phpcbf to ignore the errors in the baseline file ?

Odd, we still use this package every day and we can run phpcbf fine. phpcbf ignores all the errors in the baseline. Maybe it's a cache issue or something? That the errors aren't inspect again?

Check phpcs cli flags. php code sniffer by itself has a caching mechanism, not the baseliner :)

i tried --no-cache but nothing new

my phpcs config is very basic so i dont think thats the issue, have u encountered something like this b4 ?

Hm interesting. I've no idea. As it happens I'm busy with adding automated fixes to our pipelines, so I might run into this aswell at some point. Will get back to you when I have more information.

Think I figured out what happens here. When the baseline is generated a signature is created of the surrounding code. This to detect specificly baselined code issues. I think in your case PHPCBF fixes code near your baselined issue and invalidates the existing baseline by the changes.
Your approach about not baselining fixable phpcs issues is a nice one though, you willing to create a PR for it? Maybe separate reporter next to the current baseline reporter?

also what happens to the fixable baseline file after fix is done?
