Update site to reflect simplified business model #9

Background
Per our update meeting of Thur Sept 24 we are simplifying our model.
We originally had plans to create a class schedule, curriculum, and certifications. We also explored for-profit models, accreditation, and grant programs to kickstart our efforts. Our review is complete and we've collectively decided to take a charitable approach. We'd rather forgo the overhead and spend our energy making a direct positive impact on individuals lives. The site will need some updating to accomodate this pivot.
From a high level we are moving from a school model to a lesson model. Think of guitar lessons, personalized, pay as you go (optional), one on one or in a small group.
New Process DRAFT
The site will list the mentors, tech / skills available for learning. Applicants will apply specifying which tech / mentor that they would like to work with (or none if they are not sure). We will review their info and go through a basic evaluation which may include a video call or coding session. From here, the applicant will either be directed to more self improvement resources or get matched up with a mentor.
Self Improvement
Applicants need to have a base line skillset to benefit from the mentoring. We will have a list of resources, tutorials, and or topics of study for them to complete. After completing those, they should come back and apply again.
Assigning a mentor
Once an applicant is reviewed and approved they will be matched to a mentor based on mentor skillsets and bandwidth. The mentor will work directly with applicant to determine a schedule (remote or in person) that works for both of them. They will also collectively choose lessons and tech. It will also be up to the mentors to specify any service rates in advance (perhaps we advertise these on the site).
Site Updates
- Drop all FAQ dealing with class schedules, prereqs, etc.
- Add basic apply form right away
- Remove university certification info
- We've received feedback that the site does not clearly desribe what we are doing. Simplify the content and message.
