Description
Several Lenovo laptops have a feature called Predesktop Authentication in the BIOS settings that allow the fingerprint scan that occurs when the user first powers the device on to be used for the login authentication when the OS has loaded. This feature is currently only available on Windows as there is no support for it in libfprint and the only advice about it is to disable it on Linux. However, it would be a really nice quality-of-life improvement if libfprint were able to support this feature, allowing authentication to happen seamlessly at power-on.
