Prettier/linter config?

Hi Dan, wondering if we could set up a prettier/code formatting hook to get the indentations in line for all files

There's a .clang-format file in the repo, and I have my editor setup to run clang-format when I save each file.

We could mention in the docs to setup format-on-save in your editor (link to VSCode setup for that), or else run git clang-format --staged before you commit.

Or we could make a git hook to do it pre-committing, and then put the hook file in the repo, say in hooks/format.sh. Then explain in the docs that devs should run git config core.hooksPath hooks to set up the hooks in their repo. This will format when files are committed.

What do you think would be most useful?
