Development & DevOps onboarding refactor #40

@IlaiGigi

Description

@IlaiGigi

The current state of the development and DevOps onboarding is problematic.

Multiple complaints have been made, both by mentors and newbies alike, that these parts were not up to date with the current state of the group. Chosen sample of complaints to get the point across:

  • Not enough focus on Docker.
  • Not enough focus on the ability to make problematic decisions.
  • Not enough focus on honing the ability to lookup subjects and learn them from scratch without guidance.

Hence, a decision was made by the group leaders that we should reconsider the structure and contents of these parts of the onboarding.

The refactor will be made in accordance of the following guiding principals:

  1. Reconsider the time spent for each part.
  2. Reconsider the necessity of the each part.
  3. Consider the addition of additional subjects to the onboarding.
  4. Reconsider the oreder of each part.
