Cover images sometimes corrupted (some % done)

when downloading some covers (and it only seems to be covers) are not fully downloaded, like the download stream got cut mid download, i cant seem to force it to happen, and it only happens like 4% of the time (415 broken thumbnails out of 11057 listings) i have no idea whats causing it and the logs dont show any errors.
