You can already do this using libvips, however it's not disabled by default because it might cause segfaults (especially on musl), according to @9001 . (I tried to reproduce this, but couldn't get it to happen) Add it to th-r-vips, e.g. Don't forget to install pyvips. If you do get segfaults on some of your files, help with troubleshooting would be appreciated. |

I just discovered copyparty few days ago and thanks a lot for it. That's nice to see a light and efficient file manager (and more). I have tried the option you describe here by adding in the And there is still no preview for pdf. There is still and there was already before this line, preview for jpg, png and svg formats, but not for pdf. I see the conversion to webp in log the following way: I use Arch Linux ARM. where everything seems to be well packaged, and installed python-pyvips (that automatically install libvips dependency). I also have python-pillow, but I don't thing it is used for pdf. There is maybe a problem with package, arch linux arm is sometime less reliable than arch linux (x86_64 or riscv64) for packages. |

Oops, sorry, that was in [global] section, and thank you very much for the very quick answer. The problem was the "" around the formats, it works now! :) |

I'm hugely impressed with Copyparty and after a little experimentation and setup it's definitely going to become my new home fileserver. Thanks a ton for your work!
As per the title, one feature I'd really like to see is thumbnail generation for PDF documents. Not sure how feasible it would be to add but just wanted to mention it here in case it makes the cut for a future version.
