FinRobot™ Trademark Policy AI4Finance Foundation Effective Date: February 15, 2026

  1. Ownership

"FinRobot" and "AI4Finance" are trademarks of AI4Finance Foundation. All goodwill associated with these marks belongs exclusively to AI4Finance Foundation.

  1. Permitted Use

You may use the FinRobot name to truthfully refer to the open-source software, for example:

  • "Built on FinRobot"
  • "Powered by FinRobot"
  • "Compatible with FinRobot"
  1. Prohibited Use

You may NOT:

  • Use the FinRobot name or logo as part of your product name, company name, or service name.
  • Present a modified version of FinRobot as the official FinRobot product.
  • Remove attribution and rebrand the software as your own proprietary system.
  • Use the FinRobot brand in a way that implies endorsement, partnership, certification, or official status without written permission.
  • Register domain names, social media accounts, or trademarks that are confusingly similar to FinRobot.
  1. Derivative Works

If you distribute a modified version of FinRobot, you must:

  • Clearly state that it is a derivative work.
  • Avoid using FinRobot branding in a misleading manner.
  • Rename your distribution if it substantially modifies core functionality.

Acceptable Example: "XQuant Platform – built on FinRobot (Apache 2.0)"

Not Acceptable: "FinRobot Pro by XQuant"

  1. Commercial Use

Commercial use of the FinRobot source code is permitted under the Apache License 2.0.

However, use of the FinRobot trademark in commercial offerings must comply with this policy.

  1. Reservation of Rights

AI4Finance Foundation reserves the right to enforce its trademark rights to prevent misleading or unauthorized use.
