how to properly refresh configuration

It tells me I need to run those C/Cpp lines in order to refresh, but how do I run these?
The only way I know of is by force restarting DWM, but apparently that is not reccommended at least according to the releases, or restarting.
Is it possible for there to be clarification on this front? Thanks. love this software btw

Obviously, you are not a programmer. For general users, the most appropriate solution is to restart OpenGlass: run shutdown.cmd followed by startup.cmd. Alternatively, use AeroGlassGUI.exe to randomly modify some settings to trigger the refresh. Beyond that, there's no better solution.
