Which compilers and compiler version should I use?

Hello,

I would like to start offering support to the CMSIS version 6 project but README.md doesn't specify which compilers should I use or which compiler version.

I know CMSIS has support for ARM Compiler 6 and GCC, but I would like more details, if possible, just to be aligned with other contributors to this project.
