VAEs not loading into img2img generation but work in txt2img, Automatic1111

There are no console errors, I have tested this on 10 different models, 4 different vaes, tweaked all the main settings. My VAEs simply do not go past the preview screen and do not apply to image generation in img2img, but they work just fine in txt2img, as if I had no vae's selected from the drop down menu. I think this issue first appeared after I went on a binge downloading files and models from civitai, but I'm not sure.

I've tried moving the extensions folder, the vae folder, lora folder back and forth, and still the results are the same. The only clue I notice is that I have a message (error?) during bootup: "Couldn't find VAE named klF8Anime2VAE_klF8Anime2VAE.ckpt; using None instead" which goes away when I remove my extensions folder. It would give me this same error, even if my vae folder was empty or missing, but it would switch out the vae file name for no discernable reason. And I am not sure if it actually impacts anything since my txt2img VAE generation works just fine. I don't have dreambooth extension BTW. For the love of Gaben I cannot figure out what is wrong, and even did a soft reinstall, saving all my files and models, and it's still giving me this issue.

I am not tech savvy, and "explain to me like I'm five" kinda guy. Please, somebody help me with this, I'm losing my mind.
