"Apply Selected Style to Current Prompt" icon missing/moved in 1.6?

Hi everyone,

So with the 1.6 changes to how Styles are handled, it seems the icon for applying a selected style to the current Positive/Negative prompt and settings is removed (or moved). Can this functionality be added back in please?

It is quite a nuisance now to simply recall a Style, add it to the Prompts and make changes to test things out.

I've been hitting that 'blue arrow' icon expecting it to do that (since all mouse-over tooltips have also been removed from that part of the UI!), but of course it's only doing what it did before: Recall the last used prompt from whenever I last generated an image.

There is a pencile looking button next to the style drop down menu. When you press it after selecting a style you want to apply, an edit style box will appear. There is the apply style button next to the another style drop down menu there.

Once you have selected a style before clicking the edit style button, you don't have to select the style again in this box. Just click the apply button and it will appear in the prmpt box.

I don't understand why it's placed there, but I hope this helps.

When I do this it doesn't insert the text from the style into my prompt like the old button did. Often times I want to start with a style, apply it, modify the prompt and go from there.

The way I do it is,

1. select the style I want from the drop down menu
2. click the pencil looking icon
3. then a new pop-up screen will show. there is nothing. but still click on the clipboard looking icon. (pic2)
4. then the prompt appears.
5. you can still edit your prompt just like the old style (pic3)
6. but when you want to save the new prompt, you must do it on the pop-up screen that appears after clicking on the pencil looking icon (pic2)

+1 I hate the changes to styles made with this update. I used it heavily in prior versions, now it's unusable

Not "Resolved by 12975". Can we just have back the button, please. This is terrible. I used it ALL the time. Used to be one button, now it is Edit button, window open, click another button and hope it works (for me it often does not, just drops the name not the contents).

it is resolved by it, if you clone latest dev branch, the button is there.

Yes, it’s completely counterintuitive. Especially if you start with version 1.6 and all the tutorials are in 1.5 you think you are missing an extension. Space is still available for these icons, why have they been removed?
As noted, there is no tool tip to guide you. Without this page on github I would still search…

did you try the dev branch, the button exists there

No I did not, does it mean it will be again a part of the main branch in future ?
When possible I woul like to stay on the main branch because thedev could introduce new bugs...and if something goes wrong I could not be sure if it's my fault or not...

The dev branch contains things that are most likely going to be included in the stable main releases. Therefore, this is already solved, it just has not been updated yet.
