Click to upload not working

Hi,
I just installed Stable Diffusion webui on a new Mac M2 pro. All functions appear to work normally, except none of the upload boxes that say "Drop image here or click to upload are working". When I try and drag and drop an image, the image box becomes highlighted, but the image does not appear. When I click on the image box nothing happens. There is no text in the console window that shows anything is happening. I welcome any thoughts on how to trouble shoot this.

I should add that I get the same result in Chrome and Safari
