Question about installing 1.7.0

I have a very stable version of SD installed with no issues (1.5.2). If I install 1.7.0, will it affect stuff installed outside the "stable-diffusion-webui-master" folder, therefore potentially breaking the that previous version?

If you install it separately, it won't affect the current version.

Thanks. Making sure then, everything the 1.7.0 uses is contained in the "stable-diffusion-webui-master" folder? And on first run it doesn't update things like nvidia drivers, cuda and torch stuff etc?

It'll download its own copy of torch, etc, and leave the other installation alone.
