Can stable diffusion run faster on Linux?

I'm using a RX6700XT graphic card and it's said to be more inefficient than Nvidia graphic card, so I want to optimize it. It's said that if you deploy stable diffusion on Linux, it will run faster, is that correct?

I started Automatic1111 with an AMD Card an tried to use it with a dualboot system and Ubuntu, but never got it to work smoothly.
If you plan to use 1111 extensively, than you should consider to Upgrade your GPU to a NVidia with at least 8gb of VRAM better would be 16GB of VRAM. I had a RX 3950 XT Red Devil and had constantly problems with VRAM fragmentation and Driver Crashes. Using the PRO Drivers helped but memory management was allways a problem.
I´m not sure if the AMD ROCM System works with A1111, but it could be useful to use it. I hadn't the opportunity to test it.
In frustration i killed my piggy bank and bought a 4090 as they had acceptable pricing.

I have a 6700XT and yes it runs faster. You can dualboot with seperate partitions, but I have a seperate cheap SSD with Ubuntu 22.04 installed. Simply install the AMD ROCM drivers using the official guide (https://rocm.docs.amd.com/projects/install-on-linux/en/latest/tutorial/quick-start.html). Then run the A1111 installer. There might be a few quirks that require fixing, but once its running it runs well. The Windows version is slowly catching up with the DirectML version and a official Windows version of ROCM slowly being supported by torch,etc.
