Upscaling in the Extras tab is not working? Maybe I'm missing something simple.

I saw someone created an issue that batch upscaling doesn't work properly, but I can't get individual image upscaling to work either. That is, none of the upscaler models are used, and the image is just resized in postprocessing. I've tried with ESRGAN, Remacri, a few others that are meant for denoising, and nothing seems to work. There's no message in stdout that SD is doing anything. Am I missing something simple?

Procedure:

1. Paste an image into the extras tab
2. Choose an upscaler
3. choose a secondary upscaler (optional) and weight
4. press Generate

no text in stdout, and the image is upsized in around 0.5 sec with no upscaler being used.

This is a new installation of A1111 from earlier today.
