1.7 seeds, vs 1.6 seeds

Quick question. Are older 1.6 seeds (of which I have a lot of images using them) compatible with 1.7? I figure the update to 1.7 probably changed the seed generation, but it seems like they are sometimes compatible, but not always. In any case, I wondered if there might be some way to get the older seeds to work as expected in 1.7.

well when there is a seed breaking change I tried to document it in https://github.com/AUTOMATIC1111/stable-diffusion-webui/wiki/Seed-breaking-changes
if it's not documented then it's most likely unintentional and depends on the situation can be regarded as a bug

note not factoring in extensions

if you're able to provide examples of different results then we can try and reproduce it and fix the issue
or sometimes we would add a compatibility option

but if the only information you provide is "but it seems like they are sometimes compatible, but not always" then nothing can be done because we can't do nothing

also if you are sure that this is not caused by user error or an extension I suggest opening an issue post
