Is it possible to select different VAE for hires.fix in A1111?

Is it possible to select different VAE for hires.fix in A1111?

I want to use SDXL in the first pass and SD1.5 model for hires fix. But SD1.5 needs a different VAE.

At default settings, there is no option to select a different VAE for hires fix. Can I add this option by editing any config files or is there an option in settings?

currently the way to do it is to set Preferred VAE for a particular model
Checkpoint tab > model card upper right corner 🛠> set Preferred VAE

Thank you for your help. It worked to set the VAE in the model card. During my first generation, I noticed, tough, that different checkpoints and samplers require different CFG scale. Is there also an option to set a different CFG for the Hires pass?

if you want to change these CFG in hires pass then I have an upcoming extension https://github.com/w-e-w/sd-webui-hires-fix-tweaks

I suggest you DO NOT use this extension right now because it's still in development

still in development and not meant that, I might do things that can break stuff including
force-push
changing name of the extension

(the hires pass CFG is working, but be prepared to face other issues if you use it now)

currently (as in right now) working on adding other features to this extension
I suggest that the average user do not use the extension until you see this listed on the extensional index
if you're lucky then I might have this extension out soon
