webui keeps reporting errors

I get this constantly, when everything works and also when things break.

There's no corresponding error in console.

Expecting value: line 1 column 1 (char 0) - what could it possibly mean and why does it insist on spamming notifications?

I get the same problem when my computer is running out of memory. Restarting the computer solves the problem.

The error message needs to be fixed. It is 100% useless as is right now.
