how to update to the latest version?

Edit the webui-user.bat file with notepad for example, then add the line "git pull" before "call webui.bat", then every time you launch it it will update first!

I am getting this error

fatal: not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git

if you downloaded the zip, you cant use git pull i dont think. You an only use git pull if you cloned this repo.

I did try with git clone but it dint work for me, so I will have to reinstall every few weeks?

As he said: "You can only use git pull if you cloned this repo" so in your case you have to manual re-download it.
