Hello!
As my Ubuntu server has a very complex setup and loves to punish me often with black or blue screens after a simple reboot, I decided to never ever reboot it again. :) It's just a trial and error server for me to test new AI models and else. I'm fine if quitting updating drivers, especially the Nvidia driver costs me a 10% performance loss. But may be there were some magic super-improvements which cost me much more that 10%. Does anyone have a rough idea what performance improvement I could awaite if updating my RTX 4090 driver from 525.105.17 to 550.78 (at the moment the newest version)? I only use it for inference, mostly image generation with Stable Diffusion, seldom XGBoost or CatBoost. Actually I use cuda 11.8.
Best regards
Marc
