Upgraded GPU, stuck on old VRAM limit

I upgraded from 8 gb to 16 gb however it's still stuck on the 8 gb as a limit.
I deleted the venv folder and reinstalled it but it didn't fix it.
Any other solutions?

I tried both lowvram and medvram, same result as the pic related and not entirely relevant.
All lowvram did was slow the generations.
Some value somewhere that manages the cap of system vram is set to 8 but i needs to change to 16. I can't find it :/

you error says the DefaultCPUAllocator
whitch which means issue is most likely System RAM and not VRAM

tbh I never seen this issue before so I'm not certain of the cause and what trigged it
you also haven't porsted out the error log in the terminal only the screenshot in a UI which isn't giving much information

you could try --lowram and / or --disable-model-loading-ram-optimization
NOTE it's --lowram not --lowvram

I installed a new A1111 folder and ran it on a newer version, it uses the 16 gb vram just fine.
In the previous build, it has in memory somewhere a set value for my old video card of 8 gb vram and chokes when it reaches it.
I'm focusing on the 8.0/15.9922GB portion of the error, not the rest.

I guess the answer is always what it always was: nuke the install (again), and reinstall.
