Merging Checkpoints

Using the Merge Checkpoint feature, can we endlessly keep merging checkpoints - does it keep adding the new info to the existing checkpoint?

I've played around with it and found it looses some fidelity if you keep merging more and more together.

Do you know if custom instance prompts added to checkpoints (with Dreambooth) were preserved after the merge?

they are not.. if you 2 two models training different people, they will merge them and produce some hybrid version of the two..

So the only alternative is to use embedding...
