Got issue when install CLIP

Couldn't install clip when I click the webui-user.Try to download a CLIP but fail to install too,don't know what to do,please help.

If that doesn't work, might be a network or a pip issue.

System said maybe not pip issue,and I update pip to the newest one,maybe internet issue I guess.I surffer from bad connection a lot.

its not stable problems. its git problems. git dont have premission to add or edit temp folder. it must administrator. i change my temp folder premission to full control for all user. then clip and gfpgan start to download correctly.

i hope u guys fix.

Hi, I'm getting the same error reported.

I tried running the below command directly from a new PowerShell window
git clone --filter=blob:none --quiet https://github.com/openai/CLIP.git 'C:\Users\Wenxi\AppData\Local\Temp\pip-req-build-k_6aapsi'

It can run very successfully
However, if I run the webui-user.bat file directly, this command does not execute successfully.

I also tried in other and network environment, also tried to use the proxy and vpn
Still not working

Is it possible to manually install the clip package here and then skip the step of installing it in this bat file?

I tried to modify the webui-user.bat file

set COMMANDLINE_ARGS=--clip-models-path 'D:\Project\AIPic\CLIP'

But it will still continue to try to install the clip

I tried for a long time but did not succeed ,ended up deleting all Stable Diffusion files and used colab instead. But I figured out it may be a ssl error which also appeared in pip update and running an exe calling API. Since you are able to update pip, maybe your ssl module works fine.

It looks you are using Windows deployment and the problem is caused by folder access permission limitation. So try this simple way:

1. Input "cmd' in Search input box at bottom left of Windows
2. Launch “cmd” as administrator, you will have a superuser level CLI window
3. Find your webui installation path, change directory to it in the CLI window
4. Launch webui-user.bat by typing "./webui-user.bat" in the CLI window

Hi Everyone , I have found the fix by installing it manually,
activate the venv environment
git clone https://github.com/openai/CLIP.git
cd CLIP
pip install .

I resolved this issue when I run my cmd "non administrator" mode. Please check if you are using cmd with administrator permissions.

Последовательность.

1. Клонируем репозиторий https://github.com/openai/CLIP.git Можно в любую папку.
2. Архивируем репозиторий в ZIP файл (Например CLIP.zip)
3. Отредактируем файл по адресу: /modules/launch_utils.py"
   Ищем строку clip_package = os.environ.get('CLIP_PACKAGE', "https://github.com/openai/CLIP/archive/d50d76daa670286dd6cacf3bcd80b5e4823fc8e1.zip") Редактируем ее.
   clip_package = os.environ.get('CLIP_PACKAGE', "F:/aimodels/clip/CLIP.zip")
   Вместо моего пути F:/aimodels/clip/ будет ваш путь к архиву.
   Готово, однако этот подход не подошел для open_clip, так что проделывать тоже самое нет смысла. Вместо этого устанавливал его отдельно:
4. Установка open_clip:

• Клонируете репозиторий https://github.com/mlfoundations/open_clip.git в основную папку (там где находится файл webui-user.bat)
• Войдите в консоль в этой папке (CMD в адресной строке проводника).
• Запускаем venv:

cd venv/Scripts
activate.bat

Внутри консоли возвращаемся в корневую папку:
cd ../../
Устанавливаем open_clip:

sd open_clip
pip install .

Теперь можно прямо из этой сессии запустить webui-user.bat или run.bat
Он установит отсутствующие зависимости. В дальнейшем будет запускаться без проблем.

I was able to overcome this issue:

Activate the venv:
. ./venv/bin/activate

install the requirements:
pip install -r requirements.txt

install clip:
pip install clip

deactivate the venv:
deactivate

run webui.sh:
./webui.sh
