It won't work for grayscale, but you could make a quick coloring tool for lineart drawings by modifying the loopback + superimpose script. If you were to superimpose the original BW image with blending mode multiply, you'd keep the crisp lines. |

ya I tried colorizing one of my sketches it was kind of working I specified the colors each part had and it was doing it but the token limit was hindering me from fully doing it you just have to have a low denoising strength |

I have quite a similar issue with SD and Deforum : I'm working on a music-track sync SD animation, black & white, intersped with black and red parts, and it's stuck in B&W. No matter what I try ("black&white" / "desaturated" / "--neg colored"), no matter the position in the prompt, wheighting changes nothing... |

I think it would be incredibly useful to have an option to treat an input image as greyscale to allow img2img to change colours based on noise. In other words, only use the value of image pixels for the noise, and randomize hue and saturation to enable the re-colouring of images.
