Can't install Super Stable Diffusion 2.0 ** WILL PAY for help **

Hi,

I've tried multiple things to get to install Super Stable Diffusion 2.0, and error messages of all sorts keep happening... Decided to restore my computer and start again in case there were too many things that got in the way making xyz conflicts. Started again from scratch, and now it's even worse as I get a new error message saying it can see Python... I've wasted too many hours trying to figure this out and am tired to try anything else. So I'm WILLING TO PAY someone who can figure this out and all the potential additional errors that pop up. Tell me your price: if reasonable and you succeed, I'll be glad to do so. Would prefer doing this via Team Viewer & Skype for live comments.

Not sure if has anything to do with the fact that I have an older CUDA version, but even after trying to install the latest one, I ran into a bad install for which I had to restore my computer again to get back to normal.

BTW my graphic card is a NVIDIA Quadro P3000 (w/ 6gb). But if you believe it's not powerful enough and will take me forever to produce images, please let me know!

It's the one described in this install video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vg8-NSbaWZI and is the one that was updated from the 1.4 version by AUTOMATIC1111 . I've got most of the elements downloaded already btw (as some others are done during the install process).

I think it's due to a youtube channel or something referring to the 1.4 Stable Diffusion as 'Super Stable Diffusion V2', I presume they refer to the leaked pre-release as Super Stable Diffusion V1?

Either an attempt to gain Youtube hits, or a few rounds of poor translation.

When I try to change directory in the Anaconda prompt, it just doesn't want to... (screengrab #1) BTW I'm not a coder, so I don't get the logic behind most of that stuff.

However, while mistakenly having taken the Anaconda Powershell Prompt the 2nd time trying, that directory change process looked to be working (screengrab 1#2). BUT wondering if I should pursue the process through this one since not the one directed to work with...

Just checking with you in case it's a big no-no...!

But now, after choosing that alternate method, I realize I arrive exactly at he same problematic step of when I tired the whole process with the previous Python option... Tried a few thing back then but none of them worked and made it worst... Any idea what I should do now that this is same the error message I'm getting?

Huh, normally miniconda goes to your userprofile so you don't need admin rights.

Try running miniconda as administrator.

Hi ww-project,
your only problem (by my opinion, but I can be wrong) is, that you have low virtual memory on your Windows machine.
You have to change your paging files size (my settings are initial 8000MB, maximum 16000MB).

How much should I change it too in my case?

I don't know if it has anything to do with the memory on my graphic card too, but typically shouldn't as I got 6gb of ram on it (Quadro P3000)

On my netbook it works. Did you try it? You have to change the settings to Custom size: initial - 8000 MB and Maximum - 16000 MB.

I prefer to not use any Anaconda stuff.

1. Install the latest nvidia driver
2. Install CUDA
3. I am not sure, but I think you have to install the CNN-Library
4. Install python for windows

If you use the provided scripts a virtual environment is created. Nothing will mess up.

Doev: which provided scripts? If you mean your list of steps, well I have CUDA but the latest version (11.8) couldn't install for a variety of reasons on my system... I have 11.0.228 which technically should suffice, right?

This is how I install it (I've been successful for at least 15 of my friends/students/co-workers).

1. Install Python https://www.python.org/downloads/windows/
   Important there will be a checkbox - "Add Python to PATH" - make sure this is checked. If not, it will cause hell.

2. Install GIT https://git-scm.com/download/win
   This will help you easily clone/pull/update easily in the future

3. Create a Folder where you want Stable Diffusion to be (give it about 20 GB breathing room).
   for example:
   D:\SD_AUTOMATIC1111\

4. Then in the address window of where you see the path D:\SD_AUTOMATIC1111, replace with "cmd" and hit enter. A black command window will pop up

5. In the command window, the path of the created SD folder should be the present. Type in:
   git clone https://github.com/AUTOMATIC1111/stable-diffusion-webui.git
   This should copy Automatic1111 version to your folder. After you see it completed download, you can close the command window.

6. Download Stable Diffusion model here: https://drive.yerf.org/wl/?id=EBfTrmcCCUAGaQBXVIj5lJmEhjoP1tgl
   Once done, place this .ckpt file into D:\SD_AUTOMATIC1111\stable-diffusion-webui\models\Stable-diffusion\sd-v1-4.ckpt

7. Now in the new folder, you should see a file named "webui.bat" - Double click on this guy. its the equivalent to an installer. It will open another black command window and install all the necessary files. Usually takes about 10 to 30 minutes, depending on your connection.

8. After that, open a browser and type in: http://localhost:7860

If python and git is installed correctly, running webui-user.bat should install everything else you need apart from downloading the model file

I've dona all these steps exactly like that a few times already and yes also always checking "Add Python to path" and it always wind up being the same error message as seen in my CMD screengrab above... Basically saying can't install torch + torchvision ad "no module named pip". That's where, on the last step (7) all fails every time... I mean all the steps are pretty straightforward, but the big question is why... The error message does bring up this line: --extra-index-url https://download.pytorch.org/whl/cu113 BUT going to that address is just repository of a ton of torch versions and other files I have no ideas which to choose or to do anything with it since therei s no instructions, if even pertinent... Any idea?

Yes I do, but it still can't seem to see it somehow.

I also followed the advice of a user on Discord to try and install cu113 by writing down: pip3 install torch torchvision torchaudio --extra-index-url https://download.pytorch.org/whl/cu113 and now I'm getting this:

I understand your point, but this is also to show how desperate I am after sooo many attempts at making this work... AND I'd really pay just for someone to try and do so via a live Team Viewer Session / Skype for live comments so someone can explore all possibilities at once. This back and forth is very appreciated but sort of breaks the "momentum" of trying out all that can be done. : )

Hi! Just a quick update to tell everyone that I finally did manage to get it to work, but the credit entirely goes to
LifeImprovingInnovations (Miro) who helped me through Teamviewer. And it was hugely complicated for many unknown reasons, as every error message in the book kept popping up, step after step... So many things had to be installed independently, and after a few hours, his magic and persistence made it happen! It would have been simply impossible without his live help! So I thank him very much and I certainly recommend him!

If it's as complicated as ypu say. Run it with wifi off always, and never update. Ensures the packages will never update on startup. I'd cry if that was me and it broke your certain setup.
