Save Img2img with transparency

Hello, first of all great work on this amazing technology!
I was wondering if there could there be a tick option or key word to save the transparency of a png.
I am using img2img with a png that has the character cut out with transparency, I would like to preserve that transparency and not have a white background. I know there are ways to cut out the background but even those methods can create errors in the image and I would like to skip that step if possible.
