basic information and settings for loopback?

Hi all! I'm looking for a web page or video or something about the very basic usage of the default loopback script. I've tried it a few times with images, line drawings, a screenshot of an Easy Pose model, and the generated images are either almost the same as the input or completely different. I can't get anything that seems like a variation based on the input image. I asked in a couple of discords and on the Nerdy Rodent channel and no one seems to have a basic guide to loopback. Has anyone seen anything like that? I don't need you to write a brand new guide just for me.
