AMD gpu gives CUDA error?

I have an amd rx 480 on PopOS (ubuntu) and whenever I try to run it gives this error

AssertionError: Torch is not able to use GPU; add --skip-torch-cuda-test to COMMANDLINE_ARGS variable to disable this check
However, CUDA is for NVidia right? I used the original Install and Run on AMD GPUs guide.
