Go to that foler /Users/x/stable-diffusion-webui/models/Stable-diffusion and paste the .ckpt file there. |

This is the page I'm taken to, but when I try to drag and drop my .ckpt file there it redownloads for a second and then nothing happens.

I've never used a mac, but could you move your .ckpt file with your files application? |

I'm having this same problem on Windows. I installed all the dependencies, including stable-diffusion via git, but the models directory it installed is also empty (only has a placeholder that says "Put Stable Diffusion checkpoints here.txt". I can't figure out where to get the model.ckpt file from. |

I've been following the instructions for installing on Apple Silicon, but when I got to step 4 where it says about placing a Stable Diffusion model/checkpoint I didn't have any downloaded at the time so I stupidly just carried on and bypassed that step. I've now done step 5 and the following message has appeared:
No checkpoints found. When searching for checkpoints, looked at:
Can't run without a checkpoint. Find and place a .ckpt file into any of those locations. The program will exit.
I've now downloaded a model from huggingface but how do I go about placing it?
Any help is appreciated :)
