A field in text to image panel to set / change output target directory

I often generate something with prompt A, then do quick tweaks and render with these settings (B), and so on.

It would be super handy to have a field below prompt or in settings block below, where one could enter a sub folder name like "testA", "testB" and then press generate.

If there is some string in the field, generated images would be saved to this specified sub folder, and normal folder name generation pattern would be ignored.

If the field is empty, default save path would used.

• Go to Settings Tab -> User Interface -> Quicksettings list
• add "outdir_txt2img_samples"
• save
• reload ui

Thanks! I already have too many items on quick settings bar, I really hate it as those items draw on top of each other occasionally.

Also, default directory setting acts as root directory, so if I create path: "outputs/txt2img-images/testA", there will be a folder inside testA and the images inside it... should have mentioned this too, I'd like the images (obviously) to be in root of testA and so on. Unless there is a way to set the path differently, I'd rather have a proper input field :)

Had time to fiddle with settings, actually your suggestion works like I need - with a small tweak.

Uncheck "Save images to a subdirectory".

Then use a path like this: outputs/txt2img-images/testA, outputs/txt2img-images/testB.

So images now go into testA, testB... and no sub directories get created in those folders.

Of course I'll have to change subdirectory setting back on when I need to generate images to subdirectories (based on prompt string), but I guess this is better than nothing. 👍

@quasiblob : I never activated that option so it worked from the start for me. But nice to hear that it worked for you now.
