A changelog and version numbers would benefit this project a lot

What this project needs above all else in my opinion is a changelog and properly labelled version numbers.
At the pace this project is being developed, it's hard keeping up just what changed day to day.
A changelog and version numbers would go a long way in A) allowing users to quickly catch up to changes since their last update, B) makes it easier for people to roll back to a previously working version once some future update inevitably breaks some niche feature some people rely on.
