How does inpaint upload work? #7758

Inpaint upload would be if you create the mask in another program instead of in the web ui, like in photoshop. White mask on black background. Note that if you do your own mask and you feather the edges yourself, you'd probably want to set mask blur to 0 in the web ui. Personally, I prefer doing it this way as the UI for drawing the mask in the browser is not perfect, and I also seem to get better blending results with upload. Although it would be nice if there was a way to do inpaint sketch through upload as well, unless I'm just not aware of it. That feature is extremely useful in some situations, but I still usually can't get it to blend as well as I do when I draw and feather masks myself in photoshop. |

So are you saying setting an alpha channel value? Because my inpaint is no longer accepting that ... I assume it's been moved? |

Can someone tell me how inpaint upload is supposed to work? Should I be able to combine elements of one image into another?
Also, when I click the mask button, I can crop the image, but I'm not sure how to exit out of the mode. Does anyone know how to do that?
