Run the update.bat file. It should git pull automatically.

1> i download the release 1.0.0 pre, there is the update.bat, it say i have latest, but the commit.ab623db is from sept.2022 apparently not the latest, there is also a missing part in the requirement_version.txt = fastapi-XXX version, other it wont start up!!

2> in this post I mean the master zip file from main page, also if i git clone it only gives me commit.ab623db....

3> i just fork the project, and use github desktop to download from my forked page, which is my user name fork link, now in its history it actually shows the latest commit.a9fed7c

freaking github git clone doesnt work as it suppose or is this repo has to be fork to work correctly?

Im not sure. I ran update.bat and I am on the latest commit,

Are you running the 'git log' command I tried running it and it does not show me all commits.
But if I run this command 'git rev-parse --short HEAD' it prints out the latest commit.

your git head is detached, do git checkout master to switch to master head and then pull works.
