I am working on adding a 3-hinged solar panel to my spacecraft in Basilisk, while also implementing the spacecraft in Matlab to play around with. As far as I can tell, it is possible to specify the mass and lengths of each panel in Basilisk, but when reading the documentation PDF Basilisk-NHINGEDRIGIDBODYSTATEEFFECTOR, it seems to me that these equations assume that the panel mass m_p and (half of) the panel length d are the same for all panels. Am I missing something, and if not, where can I find the equations describing an n-hinged rigid body with different panel properties?

Hi!
I am working on adding a 3-hinged solar panel to my spacecraft in Basilisk, while also implementing the spacecraft in Matlab to play around with. As far as I can tell, it is possible to specify the mass and lengths of each panel in Basilisk, but when reading the documentation PDF
Basilisk-NHINGEDRIGIDBODYSTATEEFFECTOR
, it seems to me that these equations assume that the panel massm_p
and (half of) the panel lengthd
are the same for all panels. Am I missing something, and if not, where can I find the equations describing an n-hinged rigid body with different panel properties?Thank you! :)
