Using additional data like color in MeshToSDF?

Is there any chance to store a face color property in a SDF reading that color from the nearest face and storing it in the SDF grid?

Am guessing you would need a different tool to do this... I like to use python meshio library and Meshlab to color point clouds / faces and view them.
