Important Announcement

We are migrating Acode from the core editor library Ace to CodeMirror 6.

This change will make the editor more future-proof, with improved customizability, extensibility, and better overall performance. It will also help resolve several long-standing issues, such as:

• Cursor glitches with emojis and special symbols
• Gboard space-bar cursor movement problems
• Performance inconsistencies
• Other editor-related bugs

Impact on Plugins

This migration will break compatibility with:

• Editor theme plugins
• Language mode plugins
• Autocompletion plugins

We’ll do our best to maintain compatibility for other plugins. The good thing is that creating themes and language modes in CodeMirror 6 is much easier and more fun thanks to its highly customizable nature.
