Password not changing HELP

I’m running Ad Guard Home on my truenas system with the built in plug in. I’m well aware of the wiki page demonstrating how to change the password and have followed all of the steps without trouble. I’ve applied to new bcrypt hash into the .yaml file but it still won’t apply to adguard home . I’m not sure what to do at this point. my suspicion is the truenas system isn’t using the new .yaml and is defaulting to the original (even though i am changing it with root permissions) If anyone has accomplished this successfully please let me know how.

the code i’ve used is as follows

service adguardhome stop
pkg install nano
nano /usr/local/bin/AdGuardHome.yaml
(replaced old bcrypt hash with new one)

ctrl-x
y to save
service adguardhome restart
