Hello
A new user of AdguardHome (on RPi4) and so far it meets my expectations. It runs smoothly (apart from one time when a complete failure occurred, probably caused by IP addresses changes on the internal network).
A couple of suggestions for your consideration:
DNS Queries graph and Blocked by Filters graph: it'd be helpful if both had some sort of scale corresponding to hours, days, weeks to enable some meaningful comparisons. Without that, I'm sorry to say but it's difficult to know what those graphs effectively illustrate, apart from that some queries were more than others (and vice versa)
'Save' button is within each window, but since some windows have a lot of information in them, one has to scroll down, and a bit in some instances. It'd be helpful to have the 'save' and 'cancel' buttons in the top right corner, so no matter where the user is on the screen, they still have access to those two important functions
the information on 'Encryption' and its relevance (or rather lack of) to DNS over HTTPS and TLS is very confusing and judging by the posts on different forums, I'm not the only one finding it confusing. I'm still unsure if using 'tls://unfiltered.adguard-dns.com' under 'Upstream DNS servers' encrypts my DNS traffic or not, or whether to have my traffic from my computers via RPi to a DNS server encrypted, I still need to download a certificate and tick on 'Encryption' (it'd be great if someone could clarify this for me!)
what is the icon of the padlock next to entries in the QueryLog for, and why is mine greyed out, even though I use a TLS resolver (1.1.1.1/help shows that my traffic is encrypted); does that mean I need 'Encryption' and a certificate? Your guides aren't very clear on this matter, for example, under 'Encryption', it says 'If encryption is enabled, AdGuard Home admin interface will work over HTTPS, and the DNS server will listen for requests over DNS-over-HTTPS and DNS-over-TLS.', implying that if I don't have the encryption enabled, neither will be the case
scrolling through the QueryLog is problematic, as effectively you can never scroll down enough to get to the bottom of the screen (information about the version, language, display theme), especially if you have quite a lot of entries. Therefore, a scrollable window like one for 'Top queried domains' on the Dashboard would be more helpful and effective, as well as manageable
as there's a possibility to enter more than one Upstream DNS server and Bootstrap DNS address, a status/information window on the dashboard, which would outline the current DNS server used, would be very helpful.
in case of DNS failure, could there be an option made available to the user enable them to switch to an unencrypted DNS server as a back-up?
it'd be helpful to have an auto log-out feature so that after a period of inactivity, the user can be automatically logged out for security reasons.
Great little app, overall, though.
