In the readme it says “Additionally, using a DNS-based blocker can help to block ads, tracking and analytics requests on other types of devices, such as SmartTVs, smart speakers or other kinds of IoT devices (on which you can't install traditional ad blockers).”
But that's not entirely true. On smart TV's, you can usually install something like Blokada. I have done that on my Fire TV stick and also on my previous Android TV box. No root required. Sure, you do have to get the APK from their website instead of clickity-click from the app store, but still, it's not that hard. So I do think the readme can omit the smart TV's argument.
