Xiaomi dns problem

Hello,
I'm having problem with some of my clients. I have adguard configured from the router for all my devices. Some devices tell there's no internet connection even though it is. Some tell there's no internet connection and it isn't. My xiaomi phone is one example of the latter. Why is this and how can I get around this?
