"Private DNS Cannot Be Accessed" - no solution ANYWHERE #6684
-
I have been searching for hours for a clear explanation to this error and google documentations for android is completely useless as are the docs and discussions here: nowhere can I find anyone quoting this error with a clear answer to the cause or solution. This error happens at random, but more often than not, and affects seemingly random android based devices: some work, some don't, there is no rhyme or reason to this and I am getting incredibly frustrated with adguard. I have been using adguared for ages, have not made nay config changes and the only solution I have is to turn off adguard completely. |

This seems to be a weird edge case a friend was able to help me sort:
If you are seeing this in android, check your private dns settings
Settings > Network and Internet > Private DNS
Seems when I upgrade from my old phone, newer android version inherited a fixed private dns server of one.one.one.one
Set this to either Off or Automatic and you should be all set.
