Issues getting AdGuard Home setup

Greetings

Am trying to install AdGuard Home as a community developed plugin in opnsense.

Have gotten to the point where I"m supposed to log into my router (xxx.xxx.x.x):3000.

Browser tells me that it can't find a connection.

What do I do to kick things in the pants?

So - - - removed adguard from services (unchecked tick box).
Rebooted system. (Checked unbound.
Added adguard back into services (checked tick box).
Rebooted system.
Now able to get to 192.168.x.x:3000

tried to set admin web interface to 192.168.x.x:3000 and the DNS server address to 192.168.x.x:53
(unbound is set to 5553)

rejected - - - complaints about network issues (red popup notices)
didn't seem to matter what port I was trying to add - - - all were unacceptable!!
Dunno what changed but in one of the iterations going back to step 1 on the configuration set morphed in a screen 0 of 5 and they I was kicked out.
Tried to log back into the :3000 port but back to where I had started.

Quite lost at this point - - - what do I do to achieve a configuration if none of the ports are acceptable?
