AgentTel Trademark Policy

"AgentTel" is a trademark of AgentTel Ltd (Company No. 17098920, England and Wales).

Purpose

This policy exists to protect the AgentTel community by ensuring that the "AgentTel" name is used in ways that are accurate and not misleading to users. The AgentTel SDK source code is available under the Apache License 2.0, but the name "AgentTel" and associated logos are not covered by that license.

Permitted Uses

You may use the "AgentTel" name to:

  • Refer to the AgentTel project itself and its official releases.
  • State that your software is "built with AgentTel", "powered by AgentTel", or "compatible with AgentTel".
  • Use in community discussions, blog posts, tutorials, and conference talks about the project.
  • Describe unmodified copies of the AgentTel software.

Restricted Uses

You may not use the "AgentTel" name to:

  • Name your own product, project, or service in a way that implies official endorsement or affiliation (e.g., "SuperAgentTel", "AgentTel Cloud", "AgentTel Enterprise") without written permission.
  • Create a modified version of AgentTel and distribute it under the "AgentTel" name without clearly distinguishing it from the official release.
  • Use the name in domain names, social media accounts, or package registry names (e.g., npm, Maven Central, PyPI) that could be confused with the official project.
  • Imply that the AgentTel project endorses or is affiliated with your product or service.

Modified Versions

If you distribute a modified version of the AgentTel software, you must:

  1. Clearly rename the product so it does not include "AgentTel" in its name.
  2. Remove any AgentTel logos or branding.
  3. Clearly state that your version is a derivative work and not the official AgentTel release.

Compatibility Claims

You may state that your product is "compatible with AgentTel" or "works with AgentTel" if that is factually accurate. You do not need permission for truthful compatibility statements.

Requesting Permission

For uses not covered by this policy, or to request an exception, contact the project maintainers by opening an issue at https://github.com/agenttel/agenttel-sdk/issues.

Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be communicated through the project repository.
