[Feature] - Allow Bhyve options on per VM basis.

Due to bhyve’s current limitation of not implementing a full BIOS and Sylve inability to specify an alternative bootloader, many use cases are currently not possible.Most vendor virtual appliances are not UEFI-ready, which prevents them from running on bhyve.

The VM -> Options -> is a good place to be allowed to pass bhyve options.

Can you give me an example of a virtual appliance that doesn't support UEFI so I can try it out?

I still keep a (locked) install of the last UEFI BootROM with CSM support around for such corner cases. That's not a good solution but given that its effectively firmware for the bhyve guest it won't require patches until bhyve changes in incompatible ways.

Yes sure.The ones that come to my mind now are virtual appliances from networking vendors like Fortinet and HPE/Juniper.For example vSRX ( not all), vMX, Paragon , Apstra , Fortigate VM , etc. I remember it was the same for some F5.So mainly for telco environments it’s a problem not to have csm or grub options. Yeap , I do the same, not great but it does work. Hi gents, was wondering, maybe is CSM is not an option as its deprecated, what about just supporting grub loader?

Looks like grub is unmaintained + somewhat broken, I'd rather just bundle the last good CSM release similar to how illumos does it + let users upload their own ROMs, it's somewhat easier that way
