Thanks for keeping Caprine alive! Recently a Facebook change seems to have introduced a new issue. The hide_dropdowns class gets stuck in the <html> tag, which prevents the display of popup menus. Can you try and fix this issue?
As a plus, I think it would make sense to remove the settings editing features from Caprine so that the hiding of the popups and windows becomes no longer necessary. With this simplification, maintenance should be much lower, because there would be much fewer functions that depend on Facebook's internal implementation.
