What is the impact of OVP and Heating Curve Coefficient? #165

Hi I am trying to configure SAT for my boiler but I do not understand what imply OVP and Heating Curve Coefficient. I did automatic calibration several times and I getting different values, from 44, 37 when system is not cold and 30 when I run the calibration process early at morning with all systems cold. The set temperature is 21°C, but the boiler hasn't been able to reach it all morning. It's been trying to go from 20.7°C to 20.9°C for the last two hours, but it hasn't been able to reach 21°C at any point. My heating system uses radiators with a somewhat undersized number of elements. I thind I should to the manual process to obtain the OVP and compare it with the previous ones. |

Hi, as OPV use the value 38. This is the threshold between low load control and normal operation. While in normal mode SAT lets the boiler modulate freely, during low load control SAT sends the Max Modulation = 0% and calculates the ON/OFF times. Regarding the undershoot in the room temperature, you need to use a higher heating curve coefficient value. Try increasing in a step of 0.2. When the temperature in the room is stable on setpoint then you are done! |
