detecting oflline ZigBee devices

Hello
Do you have any plan to include offline ZigBee devices detection? eWeling mobile app can show ZigBee devices as offline. But HA integration is not aware that any sensor did not send any data for days. Dasboard shows temperature even thought that sensor is discharged or broken.

ZigBee devices operate exclusively through the cloud. The cloud reports whether they're online or offline. If you see that the devices are online, that's because the cloud said so.

Yes I know. And I thought maybe you could somehow periodically query the cloud and update status of each device in HA :)

The cloud already sends device statuses. Problems can only arise if you have cloud outages. And when the cloud outages, you'll miss the information that the device has gone offline.

The integration includes manual status update functionality for those users who require it.

Force update
You can request actual device state and all its sensors manually at any time using homeassistant.update_entity service. Use it with any device entity except sensors.
