CIFAR10 Reproduce results

Hello,
any tip on how to apply the paper's discretization on RGB images to reproduce the results on CIFAR10? I have problems with that part. If I manage to reproduce the results I plan to do a PR with the notebook tutorial as MNIST.

one at the standard bit-depth of 8, corresponding to 256 discretised bins per colour channel, and
one at a reduced bit-depth of 4, corresponding to 16 bins per channel.
